Program Overview

Replace Lawn. Save Water. Get Rewarded.

The Landscape Lawn Exchange is Weber Basin's program to incentivize removing grass and installing attractive, low-water alternatives. This is not a sod rebate - it pays for converting existing living lawn to xeriscape, rock, mulch, and drought-tolerant plants.

APC Curb & Gutter, LLC serves homeowners across Northern Utah who want professional help meeting program requirements: lawn removal, grading, plant installation, drip irrigation, and hardscape work - all coordinated after your application is approved.

FAQ

Landscape Lawn Exchange Questions

What is the Weber Basin Landscape Lawn Exchange?
It is a Weber Basin Water Conservancy District program that pays homeowners to remove living lawn and replace it with attractive, low-water landscaping. Incentive rates are $1.25 or $2.50 per square foot depending on your city. APC is a contractor that can perform the work - we do not administer the program.
How much can I receive?
All cities in the Weber Basin district qualify for at least $1.25 per square foot. Cities that have adopted water-efficient landscape ordinances qualify for $2.50 per square foot. For example, Roy, Syracuse, and Kaysville are at the $2.50 rate; Ogden, Layton, and North Ogden are at $1.25. Confirm your city on the official program page before applying.
Do I need approval before starting?
Yes. Applications must be submitted and approved before you remove lawn or begin any project work. Starting early can disqualify your project.
Can APC help with a lawn exchange project?
Yes. We handle lawn removal, grading, xeriscape and rock landscaping, plant installation, sprinkler-to-drip conversions, retaining walls, and related concrete work throughout our Northern Utah service area.
Is this the same as a sod rebate?
No. This program pays you to remove grass and install water-wise alternatives. Replacing lawn with new sod or turf does not qualify.
What if I live in Perry, UT?
Perry is in the Weber Basin district service region, but city-specific rates vary. Use the official MyWater Utah application and Weber Basin provider search to confirm your address and incentive tier before applying.
